Lubor Trubka

Principal Architect

Lubor has operated LTA as a local and international practice since 1975 with a specialized focus on large-scale wood and engineered wood structures. His qualifications in both Architecture and Engineering ensure the coordination and integration of creative architecture with the realities of technical construction. 

Lubor is an active and enthusiastic advocate of healthy and environmentally friendly construction methods and technologies and is frequently invited as a guest speaker at seminars and symposiums on wood construction. His designs have won many awards nationally and internationally and have been featured in architecture and design journals both in Canada and abroad.

Françoise Trubka

Office Manager

With her formal training and extensive experience in Hotel Management from the renowned Ecole Hoteliere in Grenoble, Francoise applies her skills to managing LTA's architectural practice. She manages administration of the office and supervises all operations to ensure they run smoothly. She is responsible for the office bookkeeping, the payroll, and reception - where she is our frontline team member.

Wendy Crowe

Associate Architect

Wendy is a registered Architect AIBC, with a Masters of Architecture Degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where she graduated with Distinction. Wendy is also a designated LEED AP and takes responsibility for overseeing adherence to sustainable guidelines and standards on LTA's projects.

With over 10 years of experience in the architectural design field Wendy has played an active lead role in many of LTA's projects including: the Kwakiutl Wagalus School, Lower Nicola School Addition, Homalco Health Centre, Kitsumkalum Health Centre, James Street Multi-Family Residential Development, and the Douglas Crescent Commercial project. Wendy was the Project Manager for the Rocky Pines Community Centre, which began construction in May 2017 and was completed in October 2018. As Project Manager Wendy worked closely with Lubor on design and technical issues, production of drawings, communication with the client and other project team members, and adherence to the schedule and project controls. For the Kwakiutl Wagalus School project Wendy was actively involved with the Kwakiutl First Nation community. She assisted Lubor in running the multiple community design charrettes as well as managed monthly project team meetings. She is currently carrying out construction administration tasks for Tsleil-Waututh Health and Administration plan.

Wendy brings her strong design sensibility, professionalism, and sense of responsibility to every project. She is an excellent team player and a great communicator.

Vicky O'Rourke

Urban Planner

Vicky is an Honours Graduate in Regional and Urban Planning where her research focused on community engagement and social equity in ensuring sustainable planning outcomes. Vicky has a background in graphic design and project coordination and has worked for BC Housing, Queensland Government and with Australian/Canadian academic research teams to prepare and present research and reports on climate change adaptation in Indigenous and local communities in Canada, Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia and Fiji.

Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning .

Carlin Co

Architectural Designer and Coordinator

Carlin is a recent graduate with a Masters of Architecture Degree from the University of Manitoba where he also completed his Bachelor of Environmental Design. He is proficient in computer aided design (CAD) tools and building information management (BIM). Carlin is interested in the social dimension of buildings and how architecture contributes to everyday life.

Lina Tsen

Bookkeeper

Lina has been a dedicated member of LTA's team since the early days of the firm. After many years as Lubor's assistant, managing all of the administration and bookkeeping, Lina is now semi-retired and works on an as-needed basis.
